Feb 2025 Winter Tournament

The Old World: Winter’s End
As the battle for land and survival continues, and the days get shorter and colder. Armies must not only survive from constant battles they must scavenge resources and shelter from the harsh winter Nights. This day will take your armies through not only battle after battle, but your skills as a General, to prioritize the survival of your men will be tested.

Location: Castle of Games (2100 Main St. Springfield OR)
Date: 02/22/2025
Event Theme: Winter
Cost: $35 in advance, $40 at the Door
Points Level: 2000 Points
Prizes: Top 3 Generals, Best Painted, and Grab bags for all
Tournament Length: 3 games, 1 day
Length of Games: 2 ½ hours a game
Legacy Armies and Arcane Journals: 100% allowed and encouraged.
Painting: There is NO painting requirements for this event (Best painted Prize will be awarded).
Proxies: Allowed (See Army List and Restrictions).
Scenarios: Will be Provided the First week of January.

Doors Open: 10:00 AM
Round One: 11:00 – 1:30
Lunch and Break: 1:30 – 2:00
Round Two: 2:00 – 4:30
Break: 4:30 – 4:15
Round Three: 4:45 – 7:15
Clean up and awards: 7:15 – 8:00

Army List Rules and Restrictions
Points: 2000 points
Max Characters: 35% (700pts)
Max 2 of same Rare Choice
Max 15 Models Wide for Closed and Open Formation
Infantry units, in Close or Open Order, can increase their Max Rank bonus by 1 from (2 to 3), before any bonus are applied, when fighting against non-Infantry units.
Proxies: Welcome if they are a clear representation of Model or Unit they are representing. If unsure submit images, to [email protected], of models for approval before the day of the Event.
Base Sizes- Models Bases must be the correct Sizes.
List must be turned in day before for overview.

** Up to 6 Additional Scenario Points can be achieved Via Scenario Objectives

Example: after a hard-fought battle Player A earned 750 VPs and scored 2 Scenario Points. While Player B earned 400 VPs and scored 4 Scenario Points. At the end of the game the difference in VPs was 750-400 = 350. Player A earned 4 points and 2 Scenario Points for a total of 6 points, while Player 2 earned 2 points and 4 Scenario Points for a total of 6 points.

Victory Points (VPs) Per page 286 Old World Rule Book.
• Enemy unit destroyed or fled off battlefield worth 100% of unit’s point cost.
• Enemy Unit that is fleeing at end of battle worth 50% of Units point cost (round up)
• Enemy unit reduced less than 25% of starting unit strength but still on field (not fleeing) is worth 25% of Units point cost (Round up)
• If General is slain by end of Battle earn bonus 100 VPs
• For every enemy standard captured 50 Bonus VPs
• If Battle Standard Bearer (BSB) has been slain, fled, or is fleeing by end of battle Bonus 50 VPs.

Terrain
All Terrain will be approved by both Players before Deployment begins.
Impassable – No unit, Including Flying can pass over, or through. Must go around.
Ruins/Woods – Infantry, Monsters, and swarms can March and Charge through as difficult Terrain.
Cavalry and Chariots that March or Charge through treat as Dangerous Terrain.
Line of Sight blocked, Unless Unit is within Terrain
Water – Difficult, Dangerous for Cavalry and Chariots
Fences /Walls – treat as low linear obstacles and Difficult Terrain. Dangerous Terrain for Cavalry and Chariots.
Hills – Hills Block LOS.
